If evidence informed teaching is to become a reality we need to create time and space to engage with the research evidence. But more than that, we need to be able to discuss the research collaboratively and especially, how to translate research into practice in the classroom?
The Health Education Service, in collaboration with BCU (Birmingham City University), has created a forum for SLT members to meet to discuss research topics – akin to a book club.
We (the group) will choose a research topic, BCU will supply key background information on the research topic and we can come together to discuss the implications of the research, its strengths, limitations and practicalities of implementing in the classroom (or not).
How this web page will support the Research Interest Group
This webpage is to help share articles and ideas on research topic.
In the folders are research articles and papers from previous meetings and plans for our future meetings.
