Services For Education is a growing children’s charity in Birmingham. We use the power of learning and music to improve outcomes for children, young people and communities. OVERVIEW

Are you passionate about music and sharing your love of woodwind instruments with students of all ages? We are looking for an inspiring, dedicated, and skilled woodwind teacher to join our team and nurture the next generation of musicians.

Responsibilities:

Provide individual and group lessons for students of various skill levels, from beginners to advanced players.

Develop engaging lesson plans that cater to the individual needs and goals of each student.

Prepare students for performances, exams, and auditions.

Continuously monitor and encourage progress, providing constructive feedback.

Stay updated with music teaching methodologies and participate in professional development opportunities.

Requirements:

Proficiency in playing and teaching at least one woodwind instrument

A degree in music or music education, or equivalent professional experience.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

A passion for teaching and a commitment to inspiring students to achieve their musical goals.

Experience:

Small Group/1:1 teaching (all ages up to 18)

Whole Class Instrumental Teaching

Ensemble direction (beginner through to advanced)

Experience of working with children with additional needs (mainstream and special schools)
